Corporate Responsibility
Responsibility is a key value to Altia.
The starting point for Altia’s responsibility is created by a decision in principle made by the Council of State. It requires that state-owned companies take exceptionally good care of obligations enforced by domestic legislation and the respective legislations of other operating countries. The state as an owner emphasises the status of the personnel, as well as environmentally responsible operations as particularly significant matters.
The background of Altia’s responsibility work deals with climate change and social phenomena, such as consumers’ increasing interest in the transparency of the production chain, the origin of raw materials, product safety, as well as the environmental impact of production and transport.
In the years to come, they will affect consumer behaviour and also Altia’s choices as regards production, use of energy, transport and packaging.
