Effective Production Gives Competitive Edge
The production of Altia's own products relies on strong expertise and long experience. Koskenkorva plant has distilled ethanol for more than 70 years. The production of alcoholic beverages dates back to as far as 19th century.
Koskenkorva Plant
The Koskenkorva plant is a modern distillery which uses a 250-fold distilling method to produce 96% grain spirit from Finnish barley. By-products of the process include feed, starch, carbon dioxide and technical ethanols. The production of Altia's proprietary products relies mainly on grain spirit distilled by the Koskenkorva plant; the quality of the spirit is a significant competitive edge.
Rajamäki Plant
The Rajamäki plant manufactures and packages Altia's proprietary products, such as vodka, liqueurs, gin, cognac, wines and fortified wines. Finlandia Vodka contract production for the brand owners, US-based Brown-Forman Ltd constitutes approximately half of the Rajamäki plant's production. The plant produces over 65 million litres of beverages annually, more than 600 different products. The plant has seven bottling lines.
Tabasalu Plant
The Tabasalu alcoholic beverage plant unit in Estonia mainly serves the Baltic countries. The plant's advantages are flexibility and speed, and its operations are very customer-oriented.
The plant has two bottling lines. Tabasalu manufactures vodka, liqueurs and carbonated alcoholic beverages. In addition, the production facility specialises in the bottling of wines in small PET plastic bottles.
Svendborg Bottling Facility
The Svendborg bottling facility is located in Denmark, close to Altia's important markets Sweden and Denmark. Svendborg offers a wide selection of bottling options for Altia and our contract partners, from bottle to bag-in-box. Svendborg has 12 modern bottling lines.
