Altia establishes a new logistics centre in Sweden

The leading actor in the Nordic alcoholic beverage business, Altia Group is developing a major logistics centre in Brunna near Stockholm. The new logistics centre will improve Altia’s overall efficiency and service offering in Sweden, Altia’s most important market.

Brunna logistics centre of circa 21 000 square metres will be in use during 3rd quarter of 2013. The construction work is targeted to commence in June 2012.

”The new logistics centre in Brunna is part of our strategy to strengthen our position in Sweden, which is our most significant market. We want to develop Altia through improved efficiencies, enhanced service as well as investments in both own and partner brands,” says Antti Pankakoski, CEO of Altia.

“By combining our previous two warehouses into one modern warehouse operation, we see clear long term benefits in our service offering for our customers and partner brands that will strengthen our combined competitive edge on the market in Sweden,” say Erik Hultberg, Managing Director of Philipson Söderberg and Björn Lönnberg, Managing Director of Bibendum. “The new logistics centre will be a modern solution for the future,” comments Anne Bonnerstig, Commercial Director of Altia Sweden AB.

Altia has signed a long term leasing agreement of the building with logistics real estate company Kilenkrysset AB.
