Altia Corporation

Ancrona sold to FMCG Business Partner AB

Altia's new strategy - focusing on improving profitability and developing the core business concentrating on wines and spirits - creates a solid foundation to build the future. Effectiveness, synergies and growth within the wine and spirits business are important also for Altia Sweden.

Ancrona AB, an independent sales and import organization for fast-moving consumable goods in Sweden, does not operate in Altia's core business area. Consequently Ancrona is sold to FMCG Business Partner AB. The turnover of Ancrona in 2008 was 102 million SEK and it has 23 employees.

"In Altia we see the transaction as the right move for the company at this stage. We are certain, that FMCG Business Partner AB will be the best possible owner to develop Ancrona in the fast-moving consumable goods business in the future" says Joacim Hultin, SVP, Altia Sweden. "Ancrona has a strong platform of business and personnel that gives us a possibility of further growths " says Peter Nordwall, CEO, FMCG Business Partner AB.
